Setup Requirements
For seamless execution of the Wavlink AC1200 setup, here’s everything that you require:
- First and most important is the AC1200 range extender.
- Up next you need a router and its exact SSID as well as the password.
- Thereafter for stable connectivity you need an Ethernet cable (optional but highly recommended)
- Moving further, you require a device like laptop, computer, smartphone or an iPad/Tablet.
- On your smart device you must have an up-to-date internet browser.
- Lastly, you require access to a vacant power outlet.

Installation Steps
Firstly bring the entire setup components into the same area as your router. Now follow these steps one by one:
- Locate the electrical outlet which is closest to the router. Upon finding it, move the extender into it and switch on the power. Now wait for the extender’s status light to glow all steady. This can take up to a couple of seconds, so do not rush.
- Up next, pick your smart device as well as the ethernet wire. Now with the help of this cable, establish a connection between your smart device and the Wavlink AC1200 wifi signal repeater.
- If by any chance you do not have the cable, then do not panic. To establish the connection without the same, all you have to do is enable the wifi of your smart device. Then connect to the AC1200’s network. The credentials for the same are clearly affixed at the extender’s back panel.
- Moving towards the next Wavlink AC1200 setup step, open the web browser. You have to open it on the connected device only. Now go to the URL blank. Into it type http://192.168.10.1 and hit enter key. This brings you to the login window.
- Now in the password blank type admin and also choose the language. After doing this click on Login.
- Finally the Wavlink AC1200 setup page opens up. So first choose the repeater mode. Next select the router’s SSID. Thereafter fill in the password. After customizing the new network details tap on Connect. With this the process completes. Now you can reposition the extender. Keep it in an area where the router’s signals drop to 50 percent.
